All I have is a stone
By Allison Pruett
Wandering through darkened streets
All of those around me sleep
Yet I shall never rest in mortal sleep
All people will say when they hear my name is
"Rest In Peace"
All because I wear red
And they in blue
The men in blue have soaked me more
In my assigned color
Of that of my blood
I have died with my label
Yet, in a month, no one will know my name
They will just simply forget that night
Yet I am not the only one
The men in blue kill the men in red
And the men in red kill the men in blue
No one truly knows why, they just do
I would remind you
Yet all I have is a stone
