My Love

My Love
By Allison Pruett

Your hair is burning desire
Your eyes winter fire
My eyes burn there too
Your laughter, silver, like a bell
Will come and save me from my Hell
I laugh there too
The purest ivory of your skin
Reflects your soul, without sin
My soul wishes that too
Your voice, so full of life
Will come to my ears to end my strife
My voice speaks there too
Your lips, so soft and sweet
Hope for mine to someday meet
My lips part there too
Your arms, so strong
May I stay there my whole life long?
My soul rests there too
You, my love, my hearts desire
Be burnt to ashes by your hearts fire
My heart beats there too.
