Symphony in White, No. 2 by James Abbott McNeill Whistler

Looking past a face of bliss

Into lonely eyes and heart

Mirrors are the only thing

That keeps those things apart

The silence of being alone

It takes you over

You’re drunk on this feeling

Yet completely sober

When what you see is what you get

And that mirror is not your friend

Your heart will still be there

Till its last beat, till the end.
