Bouquet in a chair- Pierre-August Renoir
by Nikki
Left behind after a show:
Simple white flowersWaiting on a chair.
Once held by a woman,
On a date with her beau,
Soon forgotten, the flowers were left there.
They’ll be remembered again,
At closing time,
When the cleaning staff empties the room.
But until then, they’re forgotten,
The simple white flowers,
Become a dying bloom.
